The preferred provider organization (PPO) plan is the most common insurance coverage plan offered by employers. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF)1, 49% of surveyed individuals with an employer-sponsored plan have a PPO.

PIP: The meaning of primary health care (PHC) has evolved over time and, by examining its origins and later formulations, it is possible to arrive at what is meant by PHC today. It originated as primary medical care where patients met health workers.

These Centers will provide comprehensive health care, covering around 70% of out-patient care, including noncommunicable diseases and maternal and child health services. These centres will also provide free essential drugs and diagnostic services as well as referral access to secondary and tertiary health care.

Difference between Primary and secondary:

Primary sources can be described as those sources that are closest to the origin of the information. They contain raw information and thus, must be interpreted by researchers. Secondary sources are closely related to primary sources and often interpret them.

Difference between tertiary and quaternary:
